Governor of Zabaikalsky Krai Ravil Faritovich Geniatulin

Ravil Faritovich GENIATULIN was was born on December 20, 1955 in Chita.

In 1980, he graduated from Historical Department of Chita State Pedagogic Institute.

From 1981-1991, he worked at the Young Communist League (Komsomol) and Communist Party institutions.

In 1991-1996, he served as Head of the Administration of the city of Chita.

In 1996 he was elected as Head of the Administration of Chita Oblast. Since then he was re-elected twice – in October 2000 and in March 2004.

On February 5, 2008 Mr. Geniatulin was appointed as Governor of Zabaikalsky Krai for 5-year-term.

The Governor is married with two daughters and a son.
