The Moscow, Russia, office of Russin & Vecchi L.L.P. International Legal Counsellors celebrated its 20^th anniversary in November.

Russin & Vecchi LLC International Legal Counsellors has been operating in Moscow since 1991, in Vladivostok since 1995 and in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk since 2001 and provides comprehensive commercial legal services. R&V has expertise in advising on transactions dealing with energy, manufacturing, construction and real estate, corporate and M&A, labor law, tax law, maritime law, arbitration and litigation, and intellectual property.

The R&V team provides legal assistance to major international oil and gas companies—the operators of the Sakhalin-1 and Sakhalin-2 projects—and their contractors, subcontractors and suppliers doing business on Sakhalin, with a particular focus on PSA issues.

Jonathan Russin, Managing Partner

One of the leaders of the corporate M&A team, Jonathan Russin is a pioneer of foreign legal practice in the Russian Federation, establishing one of the first branches of an international law firm in Moscow in 1991. Continuing with this pioneering vision, Mr. Russin oversaw the establishment of one of the first international law practices in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the site of the large oil and gas developments Sakhalin-1 and Sakhalin-2. The author of numerous books and articles on Russian and international law practice, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to issues facing businesses operating in the Russian Federation. In addition to directing the Russian Practice Group of R&V, Mr. Russin focuses his practice on corporate law, natural resources law, dispute resolution and the representation of nonprofit organizations.

Sergei L. Lazarev, Senior Partner

With over 25 years of legal experience, Mr. Lazarev brings unsurpassed knowledge of the Russian legal and business landscape to every client issue. A partner at R&V since 2000 and author of the book International Arbitration, Mr. Lazarev has been facilitating foreign business operations in the Russian Federation for nearly two decades. Focusing his practice on corporate law and M&A, civil law, labor law, oil, gas and minerals law, foreign investments, real estate law, and litigation and arbitration, Mr. Lazarev provides essential support to businesses as they establish and expand their operations in Moscow Region and the Russian Far East.
