Search for Suppliers Program (S4S)

Purpose: To provide applying companies of foreign manufacturers with Russian suppliers and raise competitive edge of Russian suppliers by bringing the standards of their products in accordance with the foreign manufacturers' requirements.

 

The program is implemented as follows:

1.     Applying company fills out an application form at the website: www.amcham.spb.ru;

2.     As a result of filling out the form, CEDIPT organizes a conference of suppliers: a meeting of applying company with companies' representatives – potential suppliers based on the company's requirements stated in the form. Applying company makes a presentation about its requirements, as well as standards used in work with suppliers to potential Russian suppliers;

3.     As a result of the suppliers' conference, applying company gets a database of chosen potential suppliers and audits these companies with a view to compliance of their proposed products and customer's needs;

4.     After the auditing and selection of the most worthy suppliers, applying company makes a preliminary list of possible suppliers;

 

5.     Applying company fills out a detailed form, where defines weak points of the selected companies from the preliminary list. The list and detailed form are handed to the CEDIPT to define appropriate programs being removed.

1.     Lack of technical equipment (CEDIPT program to subsidize leasing and bank credit's interests);

 

2.     Insufficient personnel's qualification (CEDIPT program to subsidize staff educating, extra training, engineering internship);

3.     Lack of experience in organization of industrial processes that correspond with the applying company's requirements (CEDIPT program to subsidize certification of production and products, assistance in attraction of foreign engineering companies);

4.     Insufficient energy resource for the development of production (CEDIPT program to assist in electricity connection).
