Jan 22, 2010: Salans Partner Glenn Kolleeny elected to the firm’s Global Board

International law firm Salans is pleased to announce the election of Glenn Kolleeny, St. Petersburg and Moscow partner, to its Global Board, a representative body of seven partners which determines the strategy of the firm, following a recent election which takes place every two years.

Glenn Kolleeny is a resident partner of Salans' St. Petersburg office. He splits his time with the Salans offices Moscow and Beijing. Glenn leads Salans' development in Southern Russia and coordinates the firm’s cooperation with local law firms in Krasnodar, Sochi, and Rostov-on-Don. He also works in Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Belarus and Ukraine. Glenn concentrates on advising major foreign investors in their Russian and CIS investments with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, structured trade finance and project finance. He has specialised expertise in the forestry, agrobusiness, ferrous, non-ferrous and precious metals industries as well as in hotels and hospitality.

Until his election to the Global Board, Glenn co-headed Salans' CIS M&A group, which is top-ranked in this area in Russia, and has completed more than US $6 billion of M&A transactions in the past 5 years. His clients include financial institutions, private equity funds, international and Russian multinational corporations. From January 1, 2010, Salans CIS M&A group will be headed by Todd Culyba, resident in Moscow.

Glenn Kolleeny was identified by Chambers Global as the firm's "powerhouse" in St. Petersburg, where he is the head of a "seamless team," according to clients. Glenn is a Chambers Global 2007-2009 Corporate and Commercial Cited Specialist. In 2009 he was identified by Legal 500 as "highly experienced and quick-witted" according to clients.
