Bachelor of Management Programme of St. Petersburg University Graduate School of Management for the first time in Russia has been awarded one of most prestigious international accreditations - EPAS (EFMD Programme Accreditation System) for a period of 5 years.
During in the meeting on 18 May 2011, the EPAS Accreditation Board voted to grant EPAS accreditation to the St. Petersburg University Graduate School of Management for its Bachelor of Management programme for a period of five years.
The Board notes the serious manner in which GSOM SPbU has responded to the previously stated areas for improvement and that under the terms of 5 years accreditation, three strategic development objectives must be agreed between the School and the EPAS Office for this programme.
EPAS is an international programme accreditation system operated by EFMD. It aims to evaluate the quality of any business and/or management programme that has an international perspective and, where of an appropriately high quality, to accredit it.
EPAS Accreditation was introduced in 2005 to complement institutional accreditation EQUIS in response to the growing need to assess quality of individual academic programmes under Bologna process. It provides international marketplace recognition for business and management programs and commits the institution to offer the best business education.
In April 2008, GSOM SPbU had been the first institution in Russia to have obtained the EPAS accreditation for the Bachelor in Management program for a period of three years.
Today GSOM SPbU is the only Russian institution which has attained the EPAS accreditation for its Bachelor in Management program for a period of five years. It recognizes the fact of the new unique GSOM SPbU achievement in Russia.
EPAS accredited means not only a recognition of the GSOM SPbU achievements and successes but it also sets the new ambitious tasks in further development and improvement of the Bachelor programme.
GSOM SPbU gained an unprecedented for a Russian business school international recognition through a set of international accreditations (EPAS for five years - the Bachelor in Management program; CEMS -Master’s in International Management programme); AMBA - Executive MBA programs) and according to the EdUniversal 2010 Ranking (GSOM SPbU - Russia's best business school & № 2 among the best three business schools in Eastern Europe).
