DLA Piper is pleased to announce that Elena Zaitseva has been promoted to Partner in the Tax group as of 1 May 2011.

Elena Zaitseva has over 10 years of experience in the tax sphere and advises clients on a wide range of tax matters including Russian and international tax structuring, due diligence, transfer pricing and other contentious and non-contentious tax matters. Her client portfolio includes both local businesses and multinational corporations.

Elena began her legal career with Arthur Andersen’s St. Petersburg office in 1999 and in 2002, as Andersen combined its operations in Russia with Ernst & Young, she continued working at EY Law. In 2005 after the integration of EY Law CIS and DLA Piper, Elena proceeded in her career as Senior Associate and then Legal Director of the Tax practice with DLA Piper.

Elena holds degrees in Economics and Law. She is currently co-chairperson of the St Petersburg International Business Association's (SPIBA) Legislation and Lobbying Committee.
