May 31, 2005: General Membership Meeting features Chairman Blank

AmCham St. Petersburg membership convened in the Corinthia Nevskij Palace Hotel on May 31 for a traditional bimonthly General Membership Meeting.

Vladimir Blank, City Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade Chairman, presented in his keynote address some figures of St. Petersburg economic development in the 1st quarter 2005 and further perspectives the City Government plans to achieve. Answering members‘ questions, Mr. Blank laid out a number of strategic directions the government designs for the city development, and welcomed AmCham members to cooperate with the city authorities in implementing the strategy.

AmCham Treasurer Slava Vlasov and Executive Director Maria Chernobrovkina updated the attendees on AmCham St. Petersburg‘s achievements in advocating members‘ interests at different levels.

A brief introduction of new member companies, the attendees were welcomed to the adjacent restaurant for a reception.
