Dear AmCham members:
On Jan. 1, 2010, the Russian federal law 309-FZ of Dec. 30, 2008 amending the environmental legislation came into force. Its Art. 33 item 3 subitem “d” prohibits waste disposal in any location but listed in the State Register of Waste Deposits.
AmCham St. Petersburg asked Rostechnadzor’s Northwestern Directorate for the regional part of the Register listing the waste depositories where enterprises from St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast can dispose of waste.
