Governor of Ulyanovsk Oblast Sergey Ivanovich Morozov

Sergey Ivanovich MOROZOV was born on September 6, 1959 in Ulyanovsk. From 1977-1980 he served in the navy, after which he worked as a technician in a transportation company. He is a graduate of Ull-Union Correspondence Law Institute.

In 1981 he began his career with the criminal police department and in 1995 was appointed head of the department of internal affairs (police) in the city of Dimitrovgrad.

In December 2000, Mr. Morozov was elected mayor of Dimitrovgrad.

He has been governing Ulyanovsk Oblast since December 2004.
