Despite the inclement weather, gridiron action kept the crowds riveted at the 4th Annual AmCham Cup soccer tournament on Sept. 17 as PricewaterhouseCoopers seized victory and claimed the coveted AmCham 2005 Cup. Last year the team just missed snaring victory, suffering defeat in a 3:4 penalty shootout.
Pepsi’s team improved its 2004 third-place finish with a second place showing this year. Rounding out the top four teams were KPMG in third and Coca-Cola in fourth.
Competing during intermittent downpours at the small Dinamo stadium, 36 teams faced off against one another during the day-long competition, while hundreds of supporters cheered them on.
